Research Opportunities
The Faroese continental shelf is at the forefront of international research into the challenges posed by volcanically-affected basins, and the SINDRI Group supports innovative ideas that minimise these risks for hydrocarbon exploration.  read more
Research Activities
There are presently 10 active research projects with the overall aim of aiding hydrocarbon exploration in the Faroese Area. The projects cover a variety of topics from seismic imaging through basalt to aspects of lava-sediment interaction.   read more
Research History
Since 2001 the SINDRI Group have supported the completion of 23 research projects that have significantly advanced our knowledge of seismic imaging through basalt, the regional geology and hydrocarbon systems in the Faroese Area.   read more
